Updated Article 04/05/21: Chrissy Teigen shares more on her budding friendship with Meghan Markle

Ahead of her appearance at Global Citizen's Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World event on Sunday (May 2), the model and cookbook author was asked by Entertainment Tonight about her newfound friendship with the Duchess of Sussex to which she responded by joking about meeting up with Meghan in Montecito, California.

'We need to go to Montecito and chill in the chicken house. Archie's Cluckin' Hut?' Teigen joked to the outlet, referring to Archie's Chick Inn, the coop that belongs to Meghan's son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, which was featured during her sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking about Meghan and Harry, who are co-chairing Vax Live!, Teigen said: 'They're so wonderful for co-chairing this because this is obviously such an incredible event that I'm so happy to be a part of.'

Late last month, Teigen revealed that prior to the chicken coop retreats, she and Markle first bonded after the Duchess reached out to her following the the tragic lost of her third child, Jack, last year.

Original Article 21/04/21: Chrissy Teigen has opened up about her blossoming friendship with Meghan Markle, describing her as 'wonderful and so kind'.

The cookbook author discussed her newfound relationship with the Duchess of Sussex on Tuesday during a virtual after show on Andy Cohen's What Happen's Next.

In the interview, the mother-of-two revealed that she and Markle have connected on multiple occasions over the years but that the former actress — who wrote about her about her miscarriage last summer in the New York Times — reached out to her personally following the loss of her son Jack in October.

'She’s been so kind to me ever since we connected on– she had written me about Baby Jack and loss,' explained Teigen when discussing their pair's friendship.

'She is really wonderful and so kind, and just as kind as everyone says she is. And that’s why you look at everything and are like, "My god, what is absolutely wrong with people where they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy when it’s just as simple as them being as kind as everybody says they are?"'

She then added that Markle is a 'really wonderful person'.

The Cravings and Safety founder also touched on Markle and husband Prince Harry‘s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last month.

'I think when I ended up watching it, it was like, "Holy sh*t, this is big". But I also waited a long time to watch it, so I had already heard so much about it by the time that I got to it. But yeah, it is — I mean, very eye-opening. Very eye-opening,' she said.

When questioned whether she had anymore 'tea' to spill about her friendship with Markle, Teigen noted: 'No. I think she's been very honest [and] open, I think her truth has been her truth since the very beginning.'

Last November, the presenter voiced her support for Markle after the Duchess of Sussex revealed she had suffered a miscarriage.

According to a report by Just Jared in November, a user tweeted in response to Markle's news: 'Is anyone really questioning the pain and sheer awfulness of suffering a miscarriage, or are they perhaps criticising Meghan‘s decision to write a 1,000 word op-Ed about herself? [sic]'

The user reportedly added: 'What does it add to the resources already available for those who go through a tragedy like this? [sic]'

In response, a line from Teigen's now-deleted response on Twitter reportedly read: 'Congratulations, piece of sh*t. [sic]' After deleting her initial reaction, the mother-of-two added in a following tweet, according to the publication: 'Sorry forgot I’m trying to be nicer lol. [sic]'
