Nineteen years (yes, really) after the film iteration graced the big screen, the highly-anticipated television adaptation of Mr & Mrs Smith starring Donald Glover is almost here.

The series, which is based on the 2005 movie of the starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that became the seventh highest-grossing film of the year, has one key and critical difference to its story though. This time around John and Jane Smith are well aware of one another’s identities from the get-go and their marriage is merely another part of their job.
