Warning: This article contains spoilers for season 7 of Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones just brought back a fan favorite who had seemingly been rowing for years: Gendry, the bastard son of Robert Baratheon. But it also brought back another character you might have missed if you're not a superfan.

During Sunday night's episode, Ser Davos Seaworth nearly gets caught by two Gold Cloaks at Kings Landing. At first, Davos bribes the guards, and has them eat awful fermented crab he says is an aphrodisiac. But when the guards spot Tyrion, Gendry bludgeons them with his custom-made hammer.

But one of the Gold Cloaks has a familiar face. That's because the actor who played him, Kevin Eldon, actually appeared on the show before. Back in season six, he was Camello, one of the Braavos theater actors performing a bastardized version of the drama at King's Landing. He played Ned Stark as a buffoon, upsetting Arya, who was watching in the crowd.

IMDb lists all three of Eldon's performances as being the character Camello, and if that's correct, it means that the character must have realized theater wasn't his thing and moved to Westeros to become a City Guard. Quite a career switch, but hey, things have been weirder on Game of Thrones. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed the repeat performance during Sunday night's episode.

Whether it's just Camello in a new stage of his life, or Game of Thrones hoping nobody would notice the two roles being played by the same actor, it's still a fun coincidence. Eldon himself hasn't commented on the double casting, but we have reached out to his management and will update this post if he comments on his latest gig.
