Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have made their Game of Thrones romance a real-life engagement, which is big news. Also big news: If a behind-the-scenes video of Kit petting a fake "Drogon" doesn't get him an Emmy, it'll be a damn shame.
In the final product of the episode "Eastwatch," Jon Snow becomes the first person besides future lover/still his aunt Daenerys Targaryen to interact with Drogon, her fiercest dragon. It's a powerful moment, and one that confirmed the show's later reveal of Jon's Targaryen ancestry.
But here's how Kit actually looked while filming the pivotal scene:
Instead of being fearsome and badass, this all looks quite comical. But it's Kit's acting chops that keep the whole thing believable. Which doesn't mean you can't giggle at his cape flapping in the wind while he tries to avoid the eyes of the bemused older man waving a big blue blob in front of his face.
