Ivanka Trump has been forced to lower the rental rates of her Manhattan apartment after receiving little interest from prospective tenants.

The businesswoman and presidential advisor has dropped the monthly rent of the two-bedroom Park Avenue condo by 30 percent from $15,000 (£11,000) in November 2015 to $10,450 (£77,000) currently. Bloomberg blames Manhattan's oversaturated rental market, but also states that, even at the reduced rate, the cost of Trump's apartment is higher than the median rent for Manhattan luxury units, which was $8,000 (£5,900) last month.

Trump bought the property for $1.5 million in 2004 and her father's company, Trump Organisation, owns other units in the building.

Ivanka is currently renting a 8,200 square-foot house in Washington DC with her husband and children.
