Kate Winslet just revealed that she auditioned to play Rose in Titanic opposite Matthew McConaughey, and I'm not sure my image of Jack Dawson will ever be the same again. This mind-blowing tidbit emerged during an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, where Winslet was quizzed with a series of rapid-fire questions about the classic movie, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.

"I auditioned with Matthew [McConaughey]—isn't that weird?" Winslet told Colbert. "Never said that in public before!" So, yeah, have fun reimagining literally every single one of Jack's lines delivered in McConaughey's signature drawl.

During the same jam-packed interview, Winslet also revealed some new info about that infamously steamy hand-on-the-window sex scene. "I don't think it was scripted.
