Last year saw a painful and long-overdue reckoning in Hollywood, as a flood of sexual misconduct, harassment and assault allegations made it clear that this is an endemic problem.

2018 is the year women fight back, and the announcement of the Time's Up initiative – an action plan against sexual misconduct nationwide, backed by 300 power players like Shonda Rhimes, Reese Witherspoon and Natalie Portman – is a huge step forward. But one of the earliest and most ferocious voices in this fight was Rose McGowan's, and as the first trailer for her E! docuseries Citizen Rose reminds us, she's just getting started.

'I knew others were out there,' McGowan says in the newly released trailer. 'And I knew it was a lot of us.'

The five-part series will focus on the actress's ferocious pursuit of justice and industry change, as well as her own alleged rape at the hands of Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced studio mogul whose decades of alleged sexual misconduct were first exposed by The New York Times and The New Yorker in October.

'I have been silenced. I have been harassed. I have been slut-shamed. Just like you,' McGowan says to a crowd in the new teaser.

'Citizen Rose' begins on January 30 with a two-hour premiere.
