Amid the never-ending news cycle of Brexit, Donald Trump gaffes and the increasing warnings about global warming, it's comforting to see that people haven't given up all hope and are still flocking to YouTube for some light relief.
The video platform has released its list of the most-viewed videos in the UK of 2018 and there are some interesting results. One being that, despite the media-swamping build-up, the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was actually beaten by a Beatle.

Proving that James Corden still reigns when it comes to viral videos, the legendary Beatle's cameo in the Carpool Karaoke series has been viewed 35.9 million times and was the most-viewed video in the UK this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's May nuptials were streamed live on YouTube on the big day on May 19th. The two-and-a-half hour video has since been viewed more than 33 million times.
