If you're in need of a new series to binge watch following the end of Game of Thrones season 6, look no further than Netflix's upcoming series The Get Down.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge and Romeo & Juliet), the 1970s musical drama just released its latest teaser which follows a crew of South Bronx teenagers living in 1970's New York.

The trailer lasts just 30 seconds and is accompanied by a new song from rapper Nas (who serves an Executive Producer on the show) and one line of dialogue : 'That's how we're gonna go down. Do or die.'

The teaser is infused with Seventies nostalgia including Cadillacs, flared trousers and teased afros and a stellar cast boasting Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Jimmy Smits, Jaden Smith, and Shameik Moore (Dope).

The show's first trailer premiered in January and suggested a disco musical drama but it's official synopsis reveals the plot will be 'told through the lives and music of the South Bronx kids, 'The Get Down' is a mythic saga of how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco.'

The Get Down launches on Netflix on 12 August.
