If you're having a bit of a slow day and counting down the hours until you can officially indulge in 'Thirsty Thursday', prepare to welcome a new female idol into your lives.
This week, Colombian Grammy-nominated band Bomba Estéreo released the video of their 2015 single 'Soy Yo' from the album Amanacer, featuring a pint-sized teen journeying through the streets of Brooklyn.
Regardless of the catchy tune that is currently on repeat in the office at the moment, it's the star of the video's side-eye, 80s hip hop fashion and bad ass all-round attitude that we're obsessed with.
According to the band, the self-love anthem 'Soy Yo' serves as a musical inspiration for anyone feeling undermined or insecure about their differences with lyrics that read: Cuando te critiquen tu soy di Soy yo (When they criticize you, just say I am me) and Sigo bailando y escribiendo mis letras /Sigo cantando con las puertas abiertas (Keep on dancing and writing my letters, keep on singing with open doors).
In honor of our new little icon, we run down exactly why she's emobdying everything we want in life:
The 80s plastic glasses
Giving her best Gretchen from Recess impression, the star can be seen cycling down the streets with on-point styling and perfect vision in equal measure.
Braids
Boasting a myriad of plaits, braids and loose waves, the girl is seen rocking her newly preened cut in blue clips and ties that match her colour-coded ensemble and bad ass bike tassels.
Denim dungarees
Versatile, comfortable and on-trend, the star is seen busting a move throughout the video proving you can have both practicality and style when it comes to daywear.
Pink bike
A combination of Stranger Things and this video has us now wanting to buy an 80s steel Raleigh Budgie bike equipped with a blue seat, tassels, pink basket and pink fluffy marker at the end.
Haters gonna hate.
Side eye
Nothing lets your haters know you don't give sweet F.A. like a sassy side-eye.
When a pair of pre-teen girls stand and stare at our music video Queen, she gives them a look that says 'Pfft, and who are you?'
*Bow down*
The recorder
Using her Christmas nativity skills to good use, the girl whips out her weapon of choice – a white recorder with rainbow ribbons – to show off her musical prowess and 'don't care' attitude.
Basketball skills
The confident kid approaches a group of older boys playing basketball and subsequently steals their ball before showing off her amateur skills.
You bounce that ball, girl.
Water canister
When you're hot, forget air conditioning. What you need is a metal canister-filled of water poured all over your face. If you're colleagues give you a weird look, don't worry, they're just jealous.
The sprinkler
Nothing says ''Look at my moves' like an imitation of a garden irrigation sprinkler, right? The attitude-filled girl pairs hers with a strong pout for added 'Don't mess with me' vibes.
Glitter bomb
Forget lingering silences and awkward cheek kisses, you now need to end every conversation with a handful of glitter and confetti.
For added drama, add a 'poof' nose effect to really show your contemporaries who's boss.
