Scooter Braun is manager to the bright stars of Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Kanye West and more.
And, alongside the private jet and front-row seats, Braun has had his fair share of dark moments with his celebrity clients.
He famously took to the stage with an emotional speech at Grande's One Love Manchester concert, after the terrible terrorist attack on her young fans.
He has also stayed by West's side as he was put under psychiatric hold last year.
And, if you cast your mind back to 2014, you might remember Beiber spent some time in jail. He was caught driving under the influence and things became strained between himself and the press.
As is often the case in these situations, Bieber's problems were often made light of, the tropes of the child star going off the rails were all too familiar and plenty of people did not take the break-down seriously.
However, in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Braun has revealed that things were much worse than they appeared. He told the magazine:
It was worse than people realised. I failed him day after day. We were living in hell because he was in such a dark place. I have inconveniences, and other people have problems. Mine feel important, but they're not. They're not life or death. Justin's stuff got to a point where it was a problem.
It sounds as thought the then 20 year-old Canadian singer was going through a lot, and that he is lucky to have a manager like Braun to stand by him.
Braun continued:
Some of the biggest people in the industry, people invested in Justin's career, told me, 'It's over. Focus on something else. That kid is done', I made a promise to him when he was 13 that I would never give up on him. I plan on keeping that promise.
And as much as it sounds Braun is inspirational, he insists it is the 'Sorry' singer who is an inspiration to him:
He's great at what he does. But more than that, I am proud of what a good man he is. He changed my life. He is the best in the business.
It's great to see someone looking after these stars, instead of repeating problems of the past ignoring mental health in pursuit of success.
