Justin Theroux has no time for tabloid rumours about him, according to an interview he gave with Mastermind Magazine. The actor, who recently announced his split from Jennifer Aniston after over two years of marriage, said he doesn't stress about how he's portrayed in the media.
'Well, that avatar is not me,' he said. 'So, in that sense, I don't lose any sleep over it. I've stopped caring about what other people think of me. It's also minimised over the years.'
It's worth nothing that it's likely Justin gave this interview before he and Jennifer announced their breakup on Feb. 15, but Justin and Jennifer actually separated at the end of last year. Interpret that timeline at ~your own risk~. Justin went on to say that his trick for dealing with the media is just to keep working despite the rumours.
'I just keep working, which is the only thing you can do,' he said. 'So, when someone I've never met in my life comes up to me and asks me a personal question, I say 'I don't know what you're talking about.' And you know, I'm sorry, but I really don't.'
The couple announced their split with a statement via Jennifer's publicist. They said,'This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.'
Jennifer has reportedly been relying on friends to get her through the split. Since the announcement, Justin has been quiet on social media (he's working, I guess!), only posting one Instagram to tell his followers to go adopt these really cute puppies.
