With news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally sent out their wedding invitations, it's now being reported that Markle's father has bagged an invite to the wedding of the year.
The Sun reports the star's reclusive father has received an invite after it was rumoured Meghan had decided not to invite her half-brother Thomas Jnr and half-sister Samantha to her nuptials.
A family friend told The Sun on Sunday: 'Thomas Snr is overjoyed to be beside his little girl on the day she becomes a princess — even if he has to battle his demons to get there.
'He's not exactly thrilled at facing the world's glare. He lives a reclusive life in Mexico.
'But nothing will stop him from having Meghan on his arm for the big day.'
Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, who divorced Meghan's now 73-year-old father when the Suits star was six, is also invited.
Samantha Grant (née Markle), meanwhile, will be in Windsor for the wedding but as a guest of a TV channel. Last year, the star's sister was criticised for her public discussion of her younger sister and her book The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister.
Last week, the couple's wedding invitations were officially posted to an estimated lucky guests who will attend the church service at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle and a private reception at Frogmore House.
Per royal family tradition, the invites were issued in the name of Prince Harry's father Prince Charles.
Meghan's parents released a joint statement in response to news of their daughter's engagement last November, saying: 'We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry.
'Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares her same qualities, is a great source of joy for us as parents.'
We can't wait to see Meghan walk up the aisle with her family.
