Like all Game of Thrones fans, we're eagerly anticipating the return of the show – even more so now its producers have started drip-feeding us snippets of what we can expect.
In a Q&A session last week, David Benioff and D.B Weiss revealed: ‘Making the first season, we set a rule: no prophecies, dreams, or flashbacks. We already failed the first two, and this season, we broke the third.’
So, with flashbacks confirmed for the fifth series, it seems likely that character backstories will be explored, along with a look into what Westeros was like before the battle for the throne.
Of course, playing on all our minds is the question: will we get to know Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) a little better? The rumour mill has since started turning with reports that Sean Bean’s deceased character, Ned Stark – aka Snow's father – will return in flashbacks that delve into his back story.
Excited is an understatement.
