Last Saturday, British astronaut Major Tim Peake landed back on Earth after six months in space.

A few hours after his return, he admitted to experiencing the 'world's worst hangover' with symptoms including dizziness, vertigo and nausea every time he moves his head.

'It can only be described as something akin to the world's worst hangover in terms of the everything that is going on in your head.'

This is coming from a man who has participated in more than 250 scientific experiments, performed a spacewalk, ran the London Marathon and ate the world's most expensive bacon sandwich in space.

With that in mind, here are 6 of the astronaut's best space moments:

1. When he became the first ever British astronaut to perform a spacewalk...and took a selfie

Stepping outside the International Space Station airlock with his US colleague Tim Kopra, Peake became the first ever British astronaut to perform a spacewalk.

The duo stepped out to replace a component that transfers electrical power generated by solar panels and Peake even found time to take a selfie. However, the astronaut's spacewalk was cut short after Kopra found a leak in his helmet. On their return, Peake tweeted his selfie with the caption:

2. That time he set a new record for the fastest marathon in orbit

For most of us, even the thought of running a marathon has us feeling lethargic, let alone the idea of doing it in space. But, on 24 April, Peake joined 39,000 runners in the London Marathon (well, from space), running 26 miles in three hours, 35 minutes and 21 seconds on a treadmill.

3. When he fought off aliens...yes, really

On 21 May, the European Space Agency shared a video of Peake and NASA astronaut Scott Kelly testing out a new augmented-reality game of Space Invaders where they are seen ducking and firing fire cannons at aliens by squeezing their fingers together.

4. That time he called the wrong person from space

On Christmas Eve, Peake  accidentally misdialled a woman and asked her, 'Is this planet Earth?'

He swiftly tweeted to apologise to the woman, insisting it wasn't a prank call.

It seems the space man didn't have much luck calling home during his time in space. He also admitted that when he attempted to ring his parents on Christmas Day, they were out and he had to leave a message. Awkward.

5. His adorable tuxedo T-shirt at the BRITs

On 24 February, Peake made a surprise appearance at the BRIT Awards 2016 from space via video to present the award for global success to Adele. In the clip, he's seen wearing the cutest black tuxedo T-shirt.

An emotional Adele thanked the astronaut saying: 'Thank you, I can't work out if I'm crying because of the video or because Tim Peake did it! My kid is going to think I'm so cool.

And Tim Peake, I love you, I hope you're okay and not too hungry.'

6. His attempt to make himself dizzy with 80 somersaults

Despite calling it perhaps 'the worst idea' he's ever had, Peake recently set out to discover whether he could make himself dizzy on board the Space Station.

With the help of his fellow astronaut Tim Kopra, Peake did a succession of 80 somersaults to see how his body had adjusted to microgravity after 186 days in outer zero gravity.
