Art Meets Fashion In New Instagram Collage

 Typically art types take the view of an upturned nose and dismissive flick of the wrist when asked about the influence of art in fashion, or whether fashion itself is a legitimate artform.

And although it doesn't settle this most polarising of creative debates, a new Instagram page is shining a light on the argument by dropping supermodels into classical masterpieces by the likes of Matisse and Manet.

@isartinfashion is run by Maria Sheila Miani, an Irish Social Media Strategist & Digital Artist, living in Italy.

The page's motto? 'To pretend fashion is art.'
