Looking for a classic afternoon tea? Celebrating all things British, The Langham serves a vegan feast rooted in tradition. As the first-ever restaurant in London to serve afternoon tea back in 1865, you can expect to see all the classic favourites with a fresh, modern twist.

Andrew Gravett, executive patisserie chef at The Langham, London tells us: 'This is something that we have embraced and have paid particular attention to. It is our aim to offer the closest selection of options that reflect our regular tea and is just as delicious. We have had to find ways and ingredients that give as similar a mouth feel and flavour to our vegan cakes as the traditional tea.'

'The texture of butter can be pretty much be replaced with coconut oil or cocoa butter, we have a lot of plant based creams that are an almost identical substitute to the dairy creams we use. Additionally, fruit based pectins enable us to replace in part the traditional gelatines and in some cases we have found they translate in even better textures than their "original" counterparts.'
