As part of H&M's first foray into the world of bridal, the Scandinavian high-street hotspot has created something for everyone when it comes to weddings this spring. From colourful bridesmaid collections to classic designs and even those for the more fashion-forward bride, the retailer is the latest to successfully step into the world of affordable wedding dressing, following in the footsteps of the likes of Asos, Topshop and Whistles.

One frock stands out more than any other from the collection, however, for its close resemblance to probably the most famous wedding dress of our generation, the Duchess of Cambridge's Alexander McQueen gown.

The long lace dress features a similarly cut bodice with sheer, lace sleeves and a low neckline, but unlike Kate's dress, comes in at the incredibly affordable price of just £149.99.

This is, of course, not the first time that the royal wedding dress has provided inspiration for bridal design houses, but it is probably the most affordable example yet.
