Designers and their muses have revealed an enterprising new way to flash some flesh this season by bringing the humble knicker back into focus. Tag-Walk the fashion search engine’s data reveals that over a third of the SS24 shows had knickers on show - including Chloé, Christian Dior and Simone Rocha. All collections designed by women.
Emma Corrin led the way on Miu Miu’s AW23 catwalk and then followed it up off-catwalk at the Venice Film Festival as they paired a pair with a button-up cardigan and bookish brogues.
Kendall Jenner has regularly forgot her trousers in Bottega Veneta teamed with tights and a navy crew-neck jumper and Jodie Turner-Smith has even got her knickers in a twist with a heightened sense of glamour on the red carpet.
Most recently, Kristen Stewart has joined the likes of Sydney Sweeney in eschewing her trousers.

The Loves Lies Bleeding star stepped out in New York wearing a pair of knitted pants yesterday (March 12), adding little more than a pair of Wolford tights and a Chanel handbag (of course) to the daring, but still totally adorable, outfit. Stewart has been pushing the boundaries with her personal style recently, having tried out a Y2k beaded top and leotard in recent weeks.
This new mood of barely there dressing offers up a fresh talking point, and better still is led by a cohort of women designers. 'I love it! If I were younger, I would go out in panties,' chimed Miuccia Prada.
