If there's one thing you'll remember from the 2018 Golden Globes, it was the enduring power of female friendship and collaboration.
Combined with Oprah Winfrey's inspiring speech about the time of change, Natalie Portman's not-so-subtle dig at the all-male nominated Best Director category, or the uniform of black worn by men and women on the red carpet to support the Time's Up Initiative, the awards ceremony was undoubtedly about women standing up for and supporting each other.

America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone and Billie Jean King walk the red carpet
Natalie Portman and a pregnant America Ferrera walked the Golden Globes red carpet before bumping into fellow Time's Up supporters Emma Stone and Billie Jean King (who Stone played in the 2017 hit film, Battle of the Sexes) and posed for a photograph.
Later, Natalie Portman beautifully called out the inequality in the film industry, introducing the best director nominees on stage as 'all-male'. Boom.
Reese Witherspoon fangirls Oprah Winfrey
Before that unforgettable speech following her Cecile B. DeMille Award win (the first for a black woman), Oprah received an introduction from Reese Witherspoon which can only be described as wonderfully adorable.
Describing her A Wrinkle in Time co-star, Witherspoon said: 'There's only one person whose name is a verb, an adjective, and a feeling. And that is Oprah.'
'Oprah's hugs could end wars, could solve world peace.'
Greta Gerwig calls Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf 'goddesses'
With a predominantly female cast and script, it's no surprise Lady Bird writer and director celebrated the stars of her award-nominated film for their powerful performances as actors and women on screen.
At one point during her speech on stage at the show, she even described the film's stars Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf as 'goddesses', and we couldn't agree with her more.
Allison Janney praised Margot Robbie
Accepting the award for best supporting actress in a motion picture for her role as Tonya Harding's mother in I, Tonya, the star pointed out the brilliance of her on-screen daughter, Margot Robbie.
'She's a quadruple threat,' Janney described Robbie. 'I don't even know.'
Jennifer Aniston and Carol Burnett receive standing ovation
Aniston couldn't help but gush about her fellow television star extraordinaire, commenting: 'On a night when so many people dreams will come true tonight so has mine. Because I get to present with my idol, the amazing Carol Burnett.
At one point, Aniston even asked if she could pull Burnett's ear (the star's signature sign-off from her hit series, The Carol Burnett Show).
Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern praised their Big Little Lies co-stars
In Kidman's acceptance speech for best supporting actress in a limited series or movie made for television, the actress thanked Witherspoon for her support and friendship.
'We did this because of our friendship, our creative union and our support of each other,' she gushed. 'And I love you.' Witherspoon mouthed 'I love you' in response.
Later, Dern praised her 'new family' of co-stars and called out the culture of silencing victims. 'I pray that the same will be in the area of power—if something felt uncomfortable to her generation, that they would immediately shut it down,' she said.
Reese Witherspoon and Eva Longoria attended as each other's dates
Witherspoon and Longoria - two of the champions of the Time's Up initiative - went as each other's dates to last night's Golden Globes. Regularly seen holding hands, posing on the red carpet and laughing together, the pair used the opportunity to discuss the important movement, with a pregnant Longoria explaining on the red carpet: 'This is not a moment, it's a movement. Tonight is just one small part of that.'
