Anne Hathaway must really have loved her wedding dress: she's chosen to spend her winter break with its designer, Valentino Garavani.

She wore the tulle, pink tinged gown for her wedding to actor Adam Shulman in California's Big Sur back in October – a brief pause in a whirlwind year that saw her starring as Cat Woman in , chopping all her hair off, celebrating her 30th birthday and receiving a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in .

Valentino has long been an Anne Hathaway enthusiast – the designer has said that she is 'like a daughter' to him – and he invited her to join him at his chalet in Switzerland to ring in the New Year.
There was another famous face on the designer’s guest list too. Madonna was in attendance and rumour has it the music icon performed a duet with Anne at the New Year’s bash. Could this be the start of another great celebrity friendship?
