Azealia Banks stars in T by Alexander Wang campaign

Fashionable friendships can lead to campaign magic. Thats certainly the case in the new T by Alexander Wang campaign, starring none other than Azealia Banks.

Wang took the saucy rapper as his date to the 2012 Met Ball in May, and hes formalised the relationship by putting his leading lady on film for T.

In the new campaign video, Banks treats us to pouting, dancing and some serious hairography as she sings excerpts from Van Vogue and showcases pieces from Wangs more accessibly priced range.

She exudes a certain rawness that makes her a very unique talent, Wang told Style.com. I loved working with her on this video for T Fall 2012, and think the collaboration captures a collision of energies.

Its also a collision of brand name-drops, since Banks calls out a Dolce crop top and those Celine wedges in the lyrics as she promotes Wang (as in, those Celine wedges are way downtown).

The video is Wangs latest foray into the world of fashion-music link-ups. Previous T faces include Santigold, Diplo, Die Antwoord and Spank Rock.
