Victoria Beckham gets Spice-y for Closing Ceremony

Beckham rejoined the Spice Girls for a performance of ‘Wannabe’ and ‘Spice Up Your Life’ at the song- and dance-filled Closing Ceremony.

The original fan of the ‘little black Gucci dress’ slipped into a corseted, trained mini by Giles Deacon for her taxi-top performance. If she looked a tad precarious in her trademark skyscraper heels, don’t worry—she loved every minute.

‘We did it!! I love u girls so much!!!!! xxx vb’, Beckham tweeted after the Spice Girls left the Union Jack-shaped stage.

In a second excited post, she said, ‘I was a pop star for the night!! I love u @MelanieCmusic, @OfficialMelB, @GeriHalliwell, @EmmaBunton!! we did it!! X vb’.

Beckham was involved in the event in her capacity as a designer too—she designed the gold dress ELLE cover star Georgia May Jagger wore during the fashion portion of the entertainment.

As excited as Beckham may have been about dressing Jagger, it was her own Giles dress that brought out the most giddiness. ‘Last-minute fitting before the show—I love my Olympics 2012 dress! Thank you Giles,’ she tweeted before the Ceremony. ‘Thank you so much to all our amazing fans, I love you.’
