Foodies Festival

If you’re over in Battersea this weekend, then the Foodies Festival should be at the top of your to-do list. There’ll be over 100 exhibitors showing their artisan wares, and plenty of Michelin-starred chefs to take tips from, including Ed Bains and Martin Blunos. We’ll be kicking back with a summer cocktail in one of the deckchairs. We can almost taste the barbecue already...

Address: Battersea Park, SW11; tickets: Foodiesfestival.com.

The Last Days of Pisco

The Last Days of Pisco is a pop-up event going on at Stoke Newington International Airport that’s well worth checking out this Friday night. Over on Lewsin place, it’s a series of disused garages that have been filled with vintage furniture, a bar, a dance floor and, crucially, a set of ping pong tables. Earlier in the night there’ll be two sittings for dinner, and BBC6 Music’s Tom Ravenscroft will be playing records until 2am. Don’t leave without trying some of the heady Pisco cocktails...

Address: 1-5 Leswin Place, N16 7NJ; tickets: Stkinternational.co.uk.

Electro Swing Club

Trust the good old Book Club to come up with yet more events to tempt us to get on our dancing shoes. This Saturday we’ll be heading for The Electro Swing Club: DJs Big Swing and Chris Tofu will be on the decks downstairs, with their vintage re-mixes and upstairs Auntie Maureen will be putting on a silent disco, so you’ll be given headphones to dance the night away to her vintage tracks.

Address: 100-106 Leonard Street, EC2A 4RH; tickets: Wearetbc.com.

Fugitive Films

While we’ve already picked out our favourite art house cinemas in London, over in Epsom, the drive-in season has arrived. Throughout August, Fugitive Films will be inflating a 40ft screen and opening up two pieces of land that will hold up to 500 cars. Tickets start at £5 and are priced per car - although don’t worry if you’re without wheels, you can pack a picnic and grab a walk-in ticket. It’s all very Greased Lightning...

Address: Hook Road Arena, Junction off Hook Road and Chessington Road, Epsom, KT19 8QW; tickets: Wegottickets.com/filmfugitive.

Radfest

For a lazy Sunday afternoon-turned-dancefest, we’ll be checking out Radfest over at Hackney Downs Studio. The secret warehouse complex over in East London will feature three stages and 15 acts from Veronica Falls, to the Jacuzzi Boys and the Eagulls. There’ll also be a Kristina Records pop-up store, with clothes and food stalls, all in the outdoor courtyard. Hello summer.

Address: Hackney Downs Studio, Downs Road, E5 8QJ; tickets: Wegottickets.com/sexbeat.
