Are you the pretty prince of parties? Good. Because it's business time, oh yeah… And if you have any inkling what we're going on about, you need to clear your Friday night plans: your presence is required at Dead Dolls House in Islington, where they're holding a tribute night to all things Bret and Jermaine. Yep, we're talking Flight of the Conchords karaoke, as well as DJs playing New Zealand's greatest hits, Simon and Garfunkel, all your favourite rappers, Bowie, Femident Toothpaste… And it goes without saying, nothing Australian. Bring an extra pair of socks, 'cos it's time to get FREAKY.

Now, if there's one thing that guarantees our attendance at an event, it's a giant waterslide. (Either that, or champagne. Give us both, however, and it may not end well.) And at Ally Pally's big summer shindig this weekend, what a waterslide it is: 100m of downhill, dingy-whizzing fun. So that's us there, then – so what else is on? Well, there's three stages of live music and DJs, with a headline set from Craig Charles' Funk & Soul Club; street food galore from the likes of Backstreet Diner, Le Bun, CLAW and Sticky Beaks; a tiki bar, secret forest silent disco, outdoor cinema, fun fair and dedicated busking grove… Almost enough to make you forget about that slide. Almost.
