NIGHTLIFE: Feelings Xmas Bonanza
OK, people, we're nearing mid-December: time to start taking party season seriously. And here, we would heartily suggest, is the place to do it. Because Feelings – the party crew responsible for some of London's most rambunctious raves – are not just throwing a Christmas bash. Oh no: they're throwing a Christmas BONANZA, and they've recruited two pioneers of '90s dance, Todd 'The God' Edwards and Mood II Swing, to the cause. Expect the music to be on-point, the beats to be on tap and the crowd to be on for a big one. As we said: SERIOUS.

Here's the dirt on DIRT: it's Berber & Q's frankly splendid series of wine-tastings with a twist. The twist being that at each event two sommeliers go head to head to select their favourite bottles, from the well-known to the downright obscure, according to the climate in which they were grown – and the winner is whosever bins are emptied first. At this Sunday's round the theme is 'Peak', which sees experts Alessandra Saponara (of Fera at Claridge's) and Clément Jeannin (of Vivant in Paris) trying to tempt us with vintages from mountainous regions. Which, let's face it, won't be hard. No need to fight, guys: we've got enough love to go around ALL the wine.

Festival of the year went, hands-down, to Houghton – the Norfolk shindig that, in its debut year, bought us magic production values, idyllic scenery AND a 24-hour music licence. Now it seems that the talents of the man behind it – Fabric resident Craig Richards – don't just extend to curating a masterpiece of a festival, oh no: he can do actual masterpieces too. This weekend sees him exhibiting a series of super-cool hand-drawn images that each represent an artist who performed at Houghton, including Andrew Weatherall, Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Nicolas Jaar and Ben UFO. And they're WAY better than anything one could reasonably expect to be created at a round-the-clock dance music festival. Kudos, Craig, kudos.
