When is a T-shirt not a T-shirt? When it is a big old counter-culture statement out to stick it to the status quo, that's when. And there are plenty such specimens on show from Friday at the Fashion and Textile Museum, which rounds up rock'n'roll tees, punk tees, politically active tees, protest tees and – best of all – a whole load of tees by Vivienne Westwood from her private collection. Which means while these shirts may be subversive, they're sure going to be stylish.
