With social media demanding perfection from every angle, being in the spotlight can lead to a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' kind of situation.

Ashley Graham is one model trying to break down these ideas of perfection by urging people to embrace their lumps, bumps and curves.

The plus-size model is honest about not always feeling on-point, but ultimately celebrates her figure at every opportunity.

The 29 year-old swimwear designer also documents how she looks after herself, be it with a hard workout, or a much-deserved Italian feast.

Yesterday, the America's Next Top Model judge posted a video of a gruelling glute workout on Instagram.

Not long after this, Graham posted the sad truth about what happens when she puts up these kinds of videos.

She wrote, 'Every time after I post a workout video I get comments like, 'You'll never be skinny, so stop trying,' 'Don't workout too hard, you'll get skinny,' 'you still need your fat to be a model,' and, 'Why would you want to lose what made you famous?'

Obviously tired with all these fat and weight related comments, she responded, 'Just for the record I workout to: stay healthy, feel good, get rid of jet lag, clear my head, showing girls we can move like the rest of 'em, stay flexible and strong and have more energy. I don't workout to lose weight or my curves, because I love the skin I'm in.'

We know that exercise is useful for a whole lot more that trying to be 'thin', and we should be celebrating every person's choice to get moving, no matter their size.
