Sophie Turner may have left Sansa Stark behind her for good—but she's not done making headlines for transforming her hair. It's only been a few days since the finale of Game of Thrones, but Turner just debuted a totally new hairstyle at the Cannes Film Festival while promoting her new X-Men Dark Phoenix film. Hairstylist Christian Wood gave the newly-married Turner a fresh, choppy fringe—likely through the work of some natural-looking clip-in extensions.

Fake or not, we're loving the new hairstyle on Turner. She and Wood have been turning out a series of looks as she promotes the new film—from half-up retro-inspired styles to beachy waves, snatched ultra-long ponytails, and coiled top knots. Turner and Wood both work with haircare brand Wella Professionals.

Turner has gone through a major transition period in her personal life and career leading up to this new hair change. She married husband Joe Jonas a few weeks ago in Las Vegas, with a larger ceremony planned for later this year. Turner has never been shy about switching up her hair—the natural blonde famously dyed her hair red for her role as Stark on Game of Thrones.

'My red hair represents the most amazing period of my life. It was the first time that I threw myself completely into something and transformed myself for it,' she told People. 'It’s rewarding to know that I had red hair for a while. I’m proud of myself for doing that at such a young age because it can be quite daunting transforming myself.'

If you noticed something different about Sansa Stark's hair in seasons seven and eight of GoT, that's because for the very first time Turner's real hair was hiding under a wig. 'I started wearing a wig in season seven because I had dyed my hair blonde and it wasn’t the best experience, so we couldn’t really dye my hair back red,' she told ELLE.com. After a few months it was healthy enough to dye red again for the first X-Men Phoenix film.
