'I love everything small because I travel all the time,' shares globetrotting supermodel, L'Oréal Paris spokesperson and annual Cannes Film Festival attendee, Soo Joo Park, while shooting her episode of '5 In 5' for ELLE UK. 'I've had like three interviews today already so I just want to freshen up a little bit.'
Unsurprisingly the Asian-American model has got her travel beauty essentials down to an expert edit: a caffeine-boosted eye serum you can apply on top of concealer ('It's like an espresso shot for my eyes'), a cheekbone-sculpting electric face massager, a hyaluronic acid-infused foundation you can apply with your fingers, a mini Frederic Malle perfume, and, of course, a good old hairbrush.
'I use this hairbrush that has really soft bristles so it doesn't damage your hair,' the 36-year-old tells us. 'I used to bleach my hair for over ten years and it was especially important to have this when my hair was bleached.'
A healthy respect for the hydrating powers of hyaluronic acid (in eye serum, face massage gel, foundation, and well, everything) plus a secret perfume application trick and Park has everything she needs to travel from Cannes to New York, and back again.
'Before I go I spritz a little bit of perfume. It's from Frederic Malle and it's my favourite scent at the moment. I just spritz a little on my wrists, put some behind my ears and sometimes on my elbows. It smells like orange blossom, it's not too florally and it's kind of creamy, that's how I like to describe it.'
Inevitably, Park is called away to her next work appointment, freshened up and ready to go.'And then I'm good to go! I am off to more press interviews and meetings so see you later!'
