Is there anything better than a relatable celebrity? Yes, Sydney Sweeney might be the breakout star of Euphoria and The White Lotus, a regular wearer of Miu Miu and Oscar de la Renta on the red carpet, the face of Armani 'My Way' perfume and boast a not-so-casual 14.5 million Instagram followers, but, when it comes to her go-to beauty essentials, the multi-hyphenate is refreshingly low-key. 'I always travel with aloe wherever I go,' Sweeney tells ELLE UK whilst shooting the latest episode of '5 In 5', proudly showing her travel size bottle of aloe vera gel to the camera. 'It's my saviour for any scabs, or I pick my zits sometimes and I need to put aloe on them. This heals my skin so fast.'
Skincare benefits of aloe vera aside, what we're taking from this is that Sydney Sweeney picks her spots, just like us. In fact, the 25-year-old's skin woes are all too familiar: 'I have combo skin that tends to be on the dry side. I've had a really hard time finding products that work for my skin because it's so sensitive, so I'm really happy that I've found the one.' Our dry skin struggle might not be because of too much jetsetting like Sydney's but still...
Moving onto make-up Sweeney is all about 2023's obsession with the Nineties. 'My go-to lip colour whenever I'm wearing make-up is Armani Lip Power 104. It's my favourite because it's really close to my natural lip colour, and it gives this sort of Nineties supermodel throwback moment.' Paired with the television star's flicked out layers, we're getting strong Rachel Green vibes, and we're not unhappy about it.
In true endearing Sweeney style, even her lipstick choice is ultra relatable. 'It's the easiest because I don't mess it up. I find if I put on a red lip or a darker lip I'm worried I'm going to mess it up, but you can't mess this one up, it's perfect.'
