The video posted by Grande confirms her appointment by the house with an ending image of the Givenchy logo appearing on the screen. The formal announcement will come tomorrow.
This morning, French fashion house Givenchy took to Instagram to prompt the unveiling of the newest face representing the house. The video posted on Givenchy's main account pictured a backlit figure whipping around an extra long ponytail that we've seen more than a few times before.
Due to the recognizable profile and signature hairstyle, it's speculated that the face behind the video is recent Grammy award-winning artist Ariana Grande. "This isn't obvious at all" joked commenters.
Through her rise to superstardom, Grande has developed a sweet, ultra-feminine signature style that she gravitates towards. Whether it's a voluminous gown or an oversized jacket and sexy knee-high boots, her style has become distinctly recognisable, sparking several trends and copycat styles along the way.
Givenchy Muses Throughout History
If the face behind the image is in fact the Thank You, Next singer, Grande will join a long lineage of Givenchy muses composed of iconic women with a timeless, classically chic style including Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, to name a few.
The campaign will be formally revealed tomorrow, May 10th, 2019 announced via Givenchy and Grande's social media.
