Lily Allen who, it's fair to say, is known for being upfront and not afraid to speak her mind last night premiered her new music video, Sheezus, the title track from her new album.
Sheezus, as well are all aware, is a term that mocks Yeezus himself, Kanye West. But in the song itself, the singer calls out her fellow female musicians - Lorde, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are among those getting name-dropped.
While at first it might seem that she's insulting them, listening to the lyrics she is, in fact, wanting the artists to unite to bring their 'a-game'.
'Second best,' she sings, 'will never cut it for the divas .'
Note also the repetition of the word 'period' - something we don't hear being talked about, let alone glamorised on the air waves.
Lily also opts out of the light, South Africa-based aesthetic of Air Balloon for a more basement-Keith-Haring-inspired feel, with graffiti and doodles galore.
We like. Do you?
