Angelina and Kate: style twins?

Jolie wore a gown by Jenny Packham, one of Kate’s favourite designers, to the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The black backless halter gown may have showcased Jolie’s tattoos—very un-Middletonian, that—but the jersey fabrication and the draped cut brought to mind a number of the Duchess’s Issa gowns.

Or perhaps the admiration goes the other way around. In November 2011, Kate wore a dove grey one-shouldered Packham gown to a charity dinner in London. Jolie chose a red version of the dress for the premiere of The Tree of Life in LA in May, six months earlier.
