Alexa Chung is the face of Maje

It's the prefect match: the brilliant contemporary womenswear designers, Maje, and our favourite presenter/model/fashion muse, Alexa Chung. We couldn't be more pleased for the happy couple.

Alexa was shot in Paris for the dramatic black and white pictures that make up the new collection campaign. The images were unveiled in a party at the Hotel Americano in New York. According to WWD, Alexa was accompanied to the party by her musician boyfriend, Albert Hammond Jr. Fashion fans with sharp memories will remember that he used to date Agyness Deyn.

Despite being surrounded by pictures of her looking incredible, she told Fashionista blog, 'There are definitely days where I’m like, "I look disgusting." But that’s being a human being. I don’t think anyone on the planet can look at themselves in the mirror every day and be like, "I’m f***ing great." Maybe like Halle Berry or Beyoncé. I know for me it’s different day to day. So just because you’re in magazines, doesn’t mean you think you’re excellent.’

On the subject of body image, and her own slim shape, she added, 'I just get frustrated because just because I exist in this shape doesn't mean that I’m advocating it and being like, "I look great." How do you know I’m not looking in the mirror and going, "I wish I could gain ten pounds?" Which is actually quite often the case. But if you say that you sound like you’re bragging that you’re naturally thin, and you’re not allowed to do that because even though it’s not the ideal weight, it kind of is as well.’
