Naomi Campbell to act as Editor

But unfortunately, the adage cannot be applied to the irrepressible Naomi Campbell, who is not only one of the very best models to have ever owned a catwalk, but who also takes her other roles as philanthropist, documentary star, actress (seen the new Duran Duran music video yet?) very seriously. And now the newest string she is adding to her bow is editor.

The Amazonian beauty will act as Editor-at-Large of the Russian and German editions of Interview magazine for the January issues. Apparently, Ms Campbell has already got to work scribing the introduction to the Russian edition, and has some big name stars up her sleeve for interviewing. The only clue we have as to what wonders lie within the magazine - which will be available to buy from tomorrow – is the appearance on the cover of Leonardo di Caprio. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

Explaining the choice to employ Campbell’s not widely broadcast editing skills for the magazine, executive chairman Bernd Runge said, ‘Naomi is one of the rare personalities who is recognised throughout the world for her tremendous contribution to the fashion and creative world as well as her philanthropic contributions through Fashion For Relief.’
