Whether it's jumbo polka dot, leopard print or abstract florals, larger-than-life print rarely leaves the spotlight - even as we trudge into autumn/winter. But, I must confess: I dress deliberately basic.

The mini bag
Forget carrying everything but the kitchen sink - there are definitely some things you can leave at home. I'm loving a statement cross-body mini bag to add a splash of colour and texture to my outfits.
The printed trousers
If you don't feel comfortable in an entirely statement outfit, a pair of patterned trousers require minimal styling effort. I'll be wearing these with a plain tee and trainers or dressing them up for evening with a polo neck and chunky boots.
The silk headband
Popular on the runway, use your inner Blair Waldorf to battle those Autumn elements. I'm looking forward to pairing a sleek up-do with a twisted, floral headband - stylish and slightly wind-proof for your hair.
The bold print scarf
A scarf is a winter staple but I'm starting the season with a light, checked piece to enhance a neutral outfit. I'm not ready for a chunky knit as of yet, but just you wait.
