Days after Emma Watson’s 28th birthday, her friend and former co-star Thomas Felton, posted a snap of himself, Watson and Matthew Lewis on Instagram.

The stars of the Harry Potter franchise worked together from the ages of 10 to 20. This meant that whilst they were peers at the fictional Hogwarts school for witch craft and wizardry, they were also school mates for the thousands of hours they spent on and off set.

Tom Felton, who played the Slytherin Draco Malfoy, posted a black-and-white picture of himself with Watson, who played Gryffindor clever clogs and half-blood Hermione Granger, and Lewis, who starred as the forgetful yet brave Gryffindor Neville Longbottom.

He captioned the snap, ‘School mates #hogwartsalumni.’

The pictured has garnered over a million likes, and the comments are flooded with references to Malfoy’s unlikely affinity with the Voldemort-hating Gryffindors, as well as a lot of people shipping Watson and Felton.

One person wrote, 'A slytherin hangin out with gryffindors?' whilst others proclaimed, 'Omg Dramioneeee' which is obviously Draco and Hermione's couple name.

They’re just friends people. Besides, *spoiler alert* we know Granger ends up with Ron Weasley, and Watson has been seen out-and-about with an ex Glee cast member, remember?
