Kim Kardashian will appear on Ellen this afternoon, making her the first of the Kardashian-Jenners to speak out about the Khloé Kardashian-Tristan Thompson cheating scandal. Kim has been out to see Khloé in Cleveland and confirmed to Ellen DeGeneres what a lot of tabloid sources had been reporting: that Khloé isn't sure whether or not she'll stay with Tristan despite his cheating on her.
The beauty mogul has now unfollowed the basketball star, showing her disdain for her sister's partner.
Kim generally called the situation 'so f*cked up' in a clip of the interview released Friday. In the full interview clip released today, she expands on everything.
First, she side-stepped the question of whether she personally liked Tristan before all this:
'I feel like Khloé always like, dives into relationships and puts her whole heart into everything, I mean, she moved there [to Cleveland, where Tristan Thompson lives]. And I’ve seen her be in a really tough situation before in her last relationship [with Lamar Odom, who also cheated on her] and so I think just the family gets so emotionally invested in whoever each other is with, like, we treat them like family and we give them everything—like, our whole soul. We treat them like they’re a family member so we really were rooting for Khloé, and we still are, you know?'
(Kim just unfollowed Tristan on Instagram and is the only family member to have done so, so make what you will of that.)
Then she said that, despite her opinion of Tristan, she's just trying to be there for her sister:
'I can just be supportive for Khloé. She’s just really focused on the baby, and she’s an amazing mom already in the few days that she’s been a mom. She’s the best mom.'
Kim confirmed that Khloé is still undecided on her and Tristan's future as a couple:
"You know, I think she’s not thinking of anything. I think she just wants a clear head and just wants to be alone with her baby and figure that out and the family’s flown out there a few times."
And that Khloé is purposely staying alone in Cleveland for a while:
'She’s still there, yeah, she’s still there, and she wanted to have some alone time with the baby and you know, figure out what her next steps are. I think it must be so hard to have your heart broken and fall in love all in a day or two, all happening at the same time and I think she just needs some [space].'
'When she’s gone through really tough things in the past, she’s always kept that from us and kind of dealt with it until it became public. You know, stuff with Lamar, things I guess were happening for a year, and we didn’t know about it. And we always think we’re so close but she does such a good job at keeping that so private. So because this is not so private, I think she’s just like, "I need a minute to myself" so she’s going to get through it. We’re such a close family. She has such a good support system and all we can do is be there for her and the baby.'
