Selena Gomez debuted a stunning white dress by Coach at the 2018 Met Gala. The singer wore a sheer white skirt and paired it with gold eyeshadow and bouncy black curls.

Her stylist Kate Young shared a glimpse of her look ahead of her arrival:

But there's also one little detail you probably didn't notice about Gomez's 2018 Met Gala dress: it's embroidered with her favourite Bible quote.

The E! Presenters mentioned this fact during their live commentary on each celebrity's outfit, and pointed out that Gomez's outfit was heavily influenced by the Bible.

The singer also debuted a gorgeously bronzed look and paired it with a delicate crucifix necklace (the theme is 'Fashion and the Catholic Imagination' after all):

Earlier in the day, Vevers hinted that Gomez would be wearing one of his designs to the gala in an Instagram he posted of one of the garment's boxes. Gomez, who's a face of the brand, was tagged in it.

Last year, Gomez also wore Coach and brought her then-boyfriend The Weeknd. This year, Gomez is single and was last linked to Justin Bieber Jelena - and we definitely didn't see a Jelena reunion on the red carpet.

Still, the singer looked like she was having fun with her friends - mainly one Kylie Jenner who looked equally stunning in her first major outing since giving birth.
