As if Game of Thrones fans haven't been teased enough about the way the eighth and final season of the show ends, we now have Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, adding more salt to the wound.

In an interview with Press Association, Clarke revealed that she had somewhat of a crisis when she found out the fate of her iconic character. She stated that she wandered around London for "three hours, aimlessly" after she received the final season's script.

"It might as well have been raining and I would’ve just walked in it not knowing what to do," Clarke said. She also added that there were "loads of tears" when she filmed her last scenes as Targaryen.

"That was the moment I realised that alcohol can also be a depressant," Clarke said. "I was kind of nursing a glass of wine going, 'I don’t know why I’m not getting any happier from this.'"

The news of Clarke's reaction comes on the heels of her co-stars expressing their thoughts and feelings on how Game of Thrones ends. Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, reserved judgment on whether he's happy with the show's conclusion. "I’m satisfied with what they did, but I don’t know whether I’ll be really satisfied until I see it,” he said on a radio show. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, thinks that fans will most likely be upset. "I don't think anyone is going to be satisfied [when it ends]," she told Sky News.

In the meantime, brush up on everything we know so far about Game of Thrones season eight ahead of its April 14 premiere.
