Rumors about Karlie Kloss’s and Taylor Swift’s friendship have been swirling for quite some time now, but don’t look to anyone involved to divulge information. On Thursday’s after-show of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen read out a question from a fan about Taylor Swift’s essay for ELLE US's April cover and her mention of friends and learning to 'banish the drama.' This made some fans raise eyebrows and question whether this was a reference to Kloss.

Kloss was very measured with her answer: 'Taylor is incredible, and I feel really lucky to call her a friend, and she’s one of the hardest working women, and I loved her essay.'

Despite the rumours that Swift and Kloss had a rift in their friendship, Kloss has done a lot of work to stamp out those conversations. In a Vogue 73 Questions segment last fall, Kloss did her best to give a straightforward answer about where she and Swift stand.

'The world needs to know?' Kloss said, laughing. 'Well, Jennifer Lawrence was interested. Jen, don’t worry, Taylor and I are still really good friends.'

Last August, Kloss posted a photo of her and Swift on Swift’s Reputation tour, just in case any fans were wondering about the status of that friendship.

But when Swift did not attend Kloss’s wedding in October, it inspired fans to keep asking questions. If there is anything going on, Kloss is not going to let on about it, and she has made it clear that she read Swift’s essay. So, even if they aren’t as close as they were in the past, she’s still paying attention.
