Lady Gaga is definitely that generous, well-off friend who gives you the gift on their birthday. E! reports today that the singer took 11 of her closest friends on a surprise vacation to Cabo to celebrate. Gaga turns 33 tomorrow.
'All of Gaga's friends knew they were going somewhere for her birthday but were surprised with a trip to Cabo,' a source told E! today. 'Cabo is Gaga's happy place and she was excited to get away for a few days. Her and group of her closest friends are staying in a huge villa and are having a relaxing time so far. Everyone has been laying out at the pool, sipping drinks and having food while laughing and chatting together. Gaga is excited to relax.'
Gaga's 11 friends, a second source told the outlet, include her agent, manager, makeup artist, hair stylist, and members of her band.
The singer is apparently thriving there and is planning a special dinner for her actual birthday, which falls on March 28. 'She has been in a great mood and seems to be very happy,' E!'s first source said. 'Gaga has a private dinner planned for her birthday and is really happy to be spending her 33rd birthday with all of the people that have been by her side for many years.'
Gaga spent some time in Cabo earlier this year right before the Oscars and after her and Christian Carino's breakup. People reported that the getaway was a Valentine's Day trip with friends. 'They stayed in a gorgeous oceanfront villa in a gated community,' the source said. 'The weather was amazing. They took a yacht out one day. Gaga enjoyed a lot of pool time… It seemed like the most perfect vacation.'
