Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's romance started similarly to Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's relationship: Joe slipped into Turner's Instagram DMs (Nick, meanwhile, had slipped into Chopra's DMs on Twitter). Turner recounted how and why Joe made his move like that in her new interview with Harper's Bazaar UK.

'We had a lot of mutual friends, and they’d been trying to introduce us for a long time,' she started. 'We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue.' Turner didn't offer any detail beyond that, including what he said. The two were first reported to be dating exclusively in December 2016, for timeline context.

Chopra was more forth-coming about how Nick started their conversation on Twitter DM. The couple told Vogue in their pre-wedding interview that Nick wrote, 'I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,' on September 8, 2016.

'She responded day of with a message that said, "My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me,”' Nick said. Their texting became what the outlet called an 'epic correspondence,' led to an eventual in-person meeting, and then much later, their engagement and multi-day wedding.

Joe has said that he and Turner are getting married later this year. They got engaged in October 2017. Turner told Harper's Bazaar UK that their wedding is going to be more chill. 'We’re trying to keep it as low-key as possible so it’s more of an intimate thing,' she said.

Turner rarely talks about her relationship in interviews, but she did tell Harper's Bazaar UK why the two complement each other so well. 'He’s lovely,' she began, 'He’s just the funniest. You wouldn’t expect he’s about to turn 30 this year. He’s the most fun, energetic, positive person I’ve ever seen. I’m pessimistic, so we balance each other out.'
