Kim Kardashian has caused a stir on Instagram for a different reason today, after the KUWTK star unfollowed everyone - including her family members, brands, fans and close friends.

While this is often a tool celebrities use to prepare for some big announcement (we're looking at you Taylor Swift and Blake Lively), Kim quickly took to Twitter to reveal it was all just a big mistake.

"OMG what???? What’s going on????" she wrote in a totally calm way in response to someone alerting her to the news. She also told a fan that “no it’s a mistake. I have to remember everyone I followed now and add everyone. I have no idea what happened.”

Kim then took to Instagram Stories to explain that she hoped to follow all of the same people again, later tweeting: "We’re working on figuring out what happened but I will start following people back if I can remember everyone. I tried following people again and now looks like at 0 again."

Currently, Kim is following 72 people, including sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, and momager Kris. Whether she managed to find all her fans again remains to be seen.
