Just over a year since they announced their engagement, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have seemingly wed in a surprise ceremony.

Hours after the 2019 Billboard Awards, the young couple invited attendees of the award ceremony to a Las Vegas chapel where they did the deed.

An Instagram livestream captured the likes of Diplo and others, watching 23 year-old Turner walk down the aisle, dressed in a white jumpsuit, to meet her beau, 29-year-old Jonas.

An Elvis impersonator officiated the wedding, whilst Joe's sister-in-law, and Sophie's good friend, Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, appeared to be the Maid of Honour.

According to the Daily Mail, Sophie repeats the words: 'I thee wed.... and I love you... and I thank God He gave me you.'

At Elvis' direction, the pair then repeat in unison: 'I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you all the days of my life.'

The epic line: 'You may kiss the bride' was met by applause from the guests.

Ever unconventional, the newlyweds then posed on a pink Cadillac and jumped in a pool fully-clothed afterwards.

The wedding stands in complete contrast to the Chopra-Jonas four day extravaganza we witnessed earlier this year. Sophie Turner had given us clues though, hinting that she was going to opt for a more low-key affair.

'Well, we’re getting married this year,' Joe told James Corden earlier this year: 'Yeah, we’re going to have a summer wedding, which I’m looking forward to. It’s going to be a lot of fun.'

A lot of fun indeed.
