Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas got married in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony after the Billboard Music Awards last night. Joe's brothers Kevin and Nick were with them, but Sophie's parents were not. The Daily Mail spoke to her mother Sally, who told the outlet that her daughter did give her a heads-up this was happening.

"Sophie did call me before. She said, 'Mum, I'm getting married in Vegas,'" Sally said. "I am absolutely delighted and so is my husband Andrew."

Sally said she hadn't spoken to her daughter yet since the wedding. "The time difference makes it difficult." She also told the outlet that at this point, she too has only seen the wedding photos out there on Instagram. The couple has not sent her any different photos.

Sally also shot down rumors that Joe and Sophie were going to get married in France this summer. "Don't believe everything you read," she said.

At this point, neither Sophie nor Joe have confirmed their marriage. But Diplo shared a livestream of their Vegas ceremony, which was conducted by an Elvis impersonator. Entertainment Tonight reported that the two really did wed, as the outlet obtained a copy of their marriage license earlier in the day.

Joe has spoken about Sophie's family before. During his appearance on James Corden's show in March, he discussed how they weren't the people he was expecting...or at least, not the soccer fans he expected.

"You know, her family’s all from England—I figured I’m marrying well," he started. "I thought for the first time I’d be marrying into a family where I’d become a soccer fan, like a football fan, like find my allegiance for a team. So her whole family doesn’t like football; they like rugby. So now I have to figure that out. We’re going to have a flag rugby game at the wedding and a flag football game. So if all the groomsmen show up with black eyes and broken arms, I’ll be very proud."
