Prince George and Princess Charlotte proved they were the ultimate cheerleading children when their mum and dad competed in a sailing regatta.
Kate Middleton and Prince William were taking part in the King's Cup Regatta, in a head to head competition, around the Isle of Wight today (Thursday 8 August).
Spotted in Cowes to cheer on their parents were George, 6, and Charlotte, 4, who were watching on another boat with their grandparents Michael and Carol Middleton.
Both wearing lifejackets - and George donning a sailor's hat which said 'captain' on the front and a nautical striped top - the children looked out at sea clearly eager to catch a glimpse of their parents who were sailing against each other in the charity race.
As well as competing, the royal couple hosted the King's Cup Regatta this year to raise money for eight of their patronages which were all represented in the competition by a different yacht.
The eight boats included vessels for Prince William's patron charities: Child Bereavement UK, Centrepoint, London's Air Ambulance and Tusk. While the Duchess of Cambridge's organisations featured Action on Addiction, Place2Be, the Anna Freud National Centre and The Royal Foundation.
The couple arrived in Cowes earlier in the day with Middleton dressed just right for the day of sailing in a summary striped top by Sandro, navy trousers and white trainers before changing into more appropriate waterproof clothes and a cap before embarking onto the yacht.
