Taylor Swift may or may not have been actually drunk at a party in Los Angeles on Saturday night, but videos of her dancing style have inspired the #DrunkTaylor hashtag. While celebrating her 10 VMA nominations at Beauty & Essex, videos of Swift dancing to her own song 'You Need To Calm Down' show her having some serious carefree fun.
Swift sang along to her song while she messed up her hair and eventually sat down on a couch and continued dancing. Guests at the party included Laverne Cox, Hayley Kiyoko, the Haim sisters, and A'keria Davenport, who posted a video of dancing Swift writing, 'Not dancing on my own. Dancing with my baby @taylorswift.'
Of course, the Internet ate it up, and memes were made.
Swift’s new album, Lover, is set to be released on August 23 and so far Selena Gomez and Katy Perry are anticipated to make appearances on it. During the party, Swift is overheard telling someone 'I fucking love Cardi B,' so fingers are crossed that a collaboration may soon come. Swift has also revealed that there will be 'political undertones' on the upcoming release, but not everyone seems to be thrilled with her new outspoken attitude.
