Just when we thought we couldn't love Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds any more, we've been given an insight into the presents that they give each other and - spoiler alert - they're sentimental, thoughtful and as cute as the couple themselves.

On Thursday, Reynolds shared a picture of himself stood alongside a painting of a paperboy delivering newspapers to a suburban house with a dog in tow.

Lively, who is currently pregnant with the couple's third child, had commissioned the painting to LA-based artist Danny Galieote, who said he was 'honoured, humbled and proud' to have created the masterpiece, and then given it to her husband as a gift.

After reading Reynolds' caption, we then found out that the house in the painting is a replica of his childhood home in Vancouver. The Deadpool actor also explained his first job was delivering newspapers for the Vancouver Sun, in the Canadian city he grew up in.

'My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn,' Reynolds wrote. 'The house no longer stands but it's a living, breathing thing in my head.'

For added sentimental value, Reynolds revealed there are many other 'Easter eggs' hidden in the painting, all referring to something meaningful about his life and childhood, including the fact that Canadian actor John Candy is on the front of the newspaper.

'This piece of art is the greatest present my wife has ever given me,' he wrote adoringly.

As ever with Reynolds, he couldn't resist signing off the caption with some of his trademark humour: 'If there's a fire, I'm grabbing this first. I'll come back for Blake.'

We mean, they're just the best.
